Corporate News SPORTTOTAL AG: Women's basketball upper leagues (DBBL) now exclusively on sporttotal - 10-year cooperation agreement inked - Automated broadcasting of all the matches

Cologne, August 19, 2019. sporttotal is evolving into a genuine multisports-platform: Apart from amateur soccer, first-league volleyball, ice hockey, field hockey and futsal, when the season kicks off on September 21, 2019, first league women's basketball will be broadcast. In this context, DBBL, the umbrella organization of Germany's Women's Basketball Leagues (DBBL, Damen Basketball Bundesligen GmbH) and sporttotal.tv gmbh, a 100 percent subsidiary of SPORTTOTAL AG, have concluded a cooperation agreement for the medialization of the top women's basketball leagues. The exclusive agreement has a ten-year term.

With this agreement, sporttotal as medialization partner will receive the broadcasting rights for the ten-year contractual period, and will be broadcasting the entire women's first basketball league as of the 2019/2020 season for the first time. The sports venues of the 12 first league clubs will be equipped with sporttotal's fully automated camera technology and will broadcast all of the matches exclusively.
