Judge Lyons' staff may be contacted by telephone, email (Diane_Lipcsey@njb.uscourts.gov or Marleen_Young@njb.uscourts.gov), or regular mail. Communication by fax does not require prior approval of Chambers. For emergent applications, parties should notify Chambers by telephone or email. Parties should be guided by D.N.J. LBR 5071-1 regarding adjournment requests which are to be made with consent, three business days prior to the hearing. All requests for adjournment and extensions of time should be directed to Judge Lyons' Judicial Assistant, Marleen Young by email or telephone. Per D.N.J. LBR 9072-2, proposed forms of order along with proof of service are to be submitted to Judge Lyons' Chambers email.
Telephonic appearances: Personal appearances are never required by Judge Lyons and counsel may appear by telephone. Judge Lyons is amenable to telephonic appearances in accordance with the policy stated on the Court's website: www.njb.uscourts.gov. Any member of Judge Lyons' staff may be contacted to make this request. Upon approval from the chambers of Judge Lyons, counsel may appear telephonically by arranging a telephone appearance through CourtCall, by calling (866) 582-6878 not later than 3:00 p.m. the court day prior to the hearing date. CourtCall will provide attorneys with written confirmation of the telephonic appearance and a number to call to make the appearance.
The use of CourtCall as opposed to another teleconference provider is preferred.
