Seaway Valley Capital Participates in “Invest in New York” Trade Mission in China
Seaway Valley Capital Corporation (OTC Bulletin Board: SWYV) (“Seaway Valley”) (www.seawayvalleycapitalcorp.com) chairman and chief executive officer, Thomas W. Scozzafava, announced today that Seaway Valley recently participated in the “Invest in New York Trade Mission” with China organized by the Asian American Business Development Center and the F&T Group, a diversified multinational corporation with significant real estate holdings in the U.S. and China. The trade delegation, which included numerous New York State officials and business persons, met with high ranking Chinese officials and business leaders in Shanghai, Changzhou, Nanjing and Beijing in an effort to promote trade and, specifically, investment by Chinese businesses in New York State and New York State-based companies.
Mr. Scozzafava stated, “This mission was an important first step by Seaway Valley in establishing what could be important ties and hopefully long lasting relationships with leaders of one of the world’s most dynamic economies.” In particular, Seaway Valley focused this mission on raising investment capital, sourcing merchandise for resale at Hackett’s, and exploring the possibility of marketing its beer products in Asia. Mr. Scozzafava continued, “While these meetings were only a first step, it is clear that partnering with Chinese businesses and investors would be a tremendous growth engine for Seaway’s businesses both here in the U.S. and in the Asian markets. We look forward to cultivating these relationships further.” About Seaway Valley Capital Corporation Seaway Valley Capital Corporation (www.seawayvalleycapitalcorp.com) makes equity, equity-related, and debt investments in companies that require expansion capital.
