Pöyry awarded owner's engineer services assignment for a coal-fired steam power plant project in Indonesia

PT Gorontalo Listrik Perdana (GLP) has recently awarded Pöyry with an owner's engineer services assignment for Sulbagut-1, a 100 MW coal-fired steam power plant project in Gorontalo Province, Indonesia (Sulbagut-1). The project consists of two 50 MW units to be constructed at a greenfield site in Northern Sulawesi in Indonesia. 

PT GLP is a project company established in Indonesia, which the majority of shares are owned by PT Toba Bara Sejahtra Tbk. 

Pöyry's assignment includes assistance in project management, design review, site supervision services, quality assurance and quality control and commissioning services. The estimated overall schedule for Pöyry's services is about 3 years.  

"We are very pleased to assist PT GLP in this important project and continue our strong involvement in expanding power generation capacity in Indonesia. The Sulbagut-1 project will be very important to improve electricity supply in the Northern Sulawesi region, where some 20% of the population still has no access to electricity," says Petteri Härkki, Regional Director of Pöyry. 

The value of the order is not disclosed. The order has been recognised within the Energy Business Group order stock in H1 2017.
