LUPKYNIS is the first FDA-approved oral therapy for LN. LN causes irreversible kidney damage and significantly increases the risk of kidney failure, cardiac events, and death. It is one of the most serious and common complications of the autoimmune disease systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). LUPKYNIS is now available to patients in the United States (U.S.).
In pivotal trials, patients treated with LUPKYNIS in combination with standard-of-care (SoC) were more than twice as likely to achieve renal response and experienced a decline in urine protein creatinine ratio (UPCR) twice as fast as patients on typical SoC alone. UPCR is a standard measurement used to monitor protein levels in the kidney. Early intervention and kidney response are linked to better long-term outcomes and prevent irreversible kidney damage. Patients treated with LUPKYNIS showed improved response rates in all parameters across immunologically-active classes of LN studied.

...nach meiner Meinung wird mit dem Label und Patentschutz hier ein Gamebreaker eingeläutet.
Da nun die Zulassung und der Schutz langfristig gesichert sind stellt sich nun wieder die Frage - der Spatz in der Hand nächste Woche oder dieses Goldstück einfach liegen zu lassen.
Voc hat absolutes Blockbuster Potential und die Pharma Bigboys werden sich um Aurinia reißen nmM. mit dem Schutz bis 2037...
Dann sehe ich durchaus Kurse bei BO oder Verpartnerung weltweit inkl.US > 50$ als realistisch an mittelfristig...und das ist noch defensiv gerechnet!

...sehe ich bei 1B $ plus - Blockbuster Sales Potential und sehr langfristigem Schutz hier sogar Aktienkurse bis 100$ als möglich an wenn man sich die Zeit (2-3 Jahre) nimmt:) und die Kursschwankungen links liegen lässt...
...daß dies einer MK von etwa $12B entspräche. Aber da wurden von BigPharma für nicht zugelassene Medis schon ganz andere Summen bezahlt. Hier ist alles in trockenen Tüchern über Zulassung gestern und gesichert...ich werde auf jeden Fall halten, der Kurs am Montag interessiert mich nur peripher.

Nach Infos auf dem Yahoo-Board sollen Biotechs, die einen Blockbuster entwickelt haben, zu 80% in den nächsten 12 Monaten von einem der Big Boys übernommen worden sein. Ich kann die Zahl nicht verifizieren bei der Masse an Biotech-Firmen in Nordamerika, aber ganz abwegig ist die Sache sicher nicht.
Per 31.12.2020 waren lt. WSJ 5,12 Mio. Aktien short bei einem free float von gut 109 Mio. Das sind knapp 5%, also nicht allzu viel (ein guter Tagesumsatz).

Woher hast du die Info, dass der nachbörsliche Handel angehalten wurde?
Wegen der späten Meldung zur Zulassung konnte ja sowieso niemand mehr dort handeln. Es ist nach meiner Erfahrung eher unüblich, das NASDAQ den Handel wegen wichtiger Meldungen anhält.

...ich glaube auch das viele Analysten nun ihre Kursziele nach oben anpassen müssen, da einige nur einen Schutz des Blockbustermedis bis 2027 eingepreist hatten...mit dem möglichen Schutz bis 2037 über Patente und das Label ergeben sich nun völlig neue Profitbewertungen. Außerdem wird noch über den Preis pro Jahr von Voc spekuliert; viele setzten konservativ einen Preis von um die 30T$ (- 35T$) pro Jahr an...ich schätze da wird der Conf.Call am Montag weiteren Aufschluss geben.
Aber mit einem möglichen 10 Jahre längeren Schutz des Medis und einem evtl. höheren Preis gibts es hier noch viel Bewertungsspielraum nach oben.

Letztendlich dürfte der CC den Analysten Anhaltspunkte geben, ihre Kursziele neu zu definieren. Sie dürften wohl nach Umsatzerwartungen und Bruttomargen fragen. Sollte AUPH hierzu konkrete Annahmen für die nächsten Jahre kommunizieren, wäre das natürlich sehr hilfreich. Spannend!
Danke für den Link. Bei der Umsatzschätzung für 2021 (87,6 Mio) komme ich auf ca. 2500 Patienten. Da ist aber noch viel Luft nach oben. Man muss natürlich auch sehen, dass der Produktions- und Vertriebsprozess nicht sofort von Null auf Hundert gehen kann. Man denke nur an die Corona-Impfstoffe...
Otsuka muss ja auch erst Zulassungen erhalten; die Krankenkassen müssen überzeugt werden, die Kosten zu übernehmen etc. Ich glaube, erst von 2022 an geht's richtig voran.

Da sagt der Analyst selbst das Voc das best in class Medikament darstellt (und es gibt da glaub ich keine zwei Meinungen) und nahezu keine Konkurrenz;
dann hat AUPH 100-150 Salesleute am Start, die bereits gut vorbereitet sind und dann geht er von 2% Patienten aus im ersten Jahr in USA; da müsste jeder Salesmann 1-2 „Kunden“ im ganzen Jahr (!) werben, der dann ne Handvoll Patienten behandelt, wobei das ja häufig Spezialisten sein sollten....oder mit was werden dann die anderen 98% der Patienten behandelt, nachdem in dieser Indikation seit Jahrzehnten auf vernünftige Therapien sehnlichst gewartet wird-siehe fast Track ohne Panel- mit Bachblüten oder dem Konkurrenzprodukt mit deutlich schwächeren Studienergebnissen, daß dazu noch teurer sein solltenmM.?
Es bleibt wie es ist, viele Analysten sind für mich Kontraindikatoren oder bewusst
gesteuert- da vertraue ich lieber meinem Wissen und Erfahrungen.
