NEW YORK, Dec. 19, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- U.S. Rare Earths, Inc., ("USRE" or "the Company"), is pleased to announce it has received approval for its drill permit on its North Fork property in Idaho. North Fork is one of four deposits the Company has under claim in Idaho and Nevada. The Company received its drill permit in October for its Diamond Creek property, also in Idaho, where drilling commenced earlier this month.

"We're pleased that we can now build North Fork into our 2013 plan," said Kevin Cassidy, UREE interim CEO. "We now hold drill permits for four of our six properties, with Montana in process for what we expect will be a busy and productive 2013."

The receipt of the second Idaho permit follows the engagement of Process Engineering of Meridian, Idaho to prepare a Canadian National Instrument 43-101("NI 43-101F1") compliant Technical Report on the Company's Diamond Creek Rare Earths property. Process Engineering's principal, Qualified Person Howard Dunn, will lead the 43-101 effort.

U.S. Rare Earths' properties in Idaho and Montana, including Lemhi Pass, have been recognized in the U.S. Department of Energy's Critical Materials Strategy publications to have significant showings of Heavy Rare Earth Elements, in particular for the five Rare Earths identified by DOE as being at "Critical Risk": Dysprosium, Europium, Neodymium, Terbium and Yttrium.
