Standard & Poor's Initiates Factual Stock Report Coverage on VG Gold Corp.
Standard&Poor's announced today that it has commenced Factual Stock Report coverage on VG Gold Corp. (News)
VG Gold Corp. (TS:VG), in the exploration stage as of June 30, 2008, explores and develops gold properties in Timmins, Ontario, Canada and seeks to acquire additional gold properties in the Timmins area. The company is focused on exploring its properties, including the Buffalo Ankerite, which is 100% controlled; the Fuller Property, which is 100% owned; and the Davidson Tisdale Property, where VG Gold is earning up to a 75% property interest, having previously earned a 71% interest in the property. All of these properties are located in the Timmins gold camp.
The company announced, in June, that it has entered into an agreement, effective June 13, 2008, to earn a 60% interest in select claims of the Paymaster Property situated on the east boundary of both VG Gold's Buffalo Ankerite Property and Fuller Property. Also included is one Aunor Mine Claim situated on the west side of the Buffalo Ankerite Property. Under the terms of the agreement VG Gold has the option to earn a 60% interest in 16 claims by incurring exploration expenditures of C$6 million over 4 years, subject to a Back-in-Right.
The Fuller Property consists of 18 claims having an area of 772 acres located in the Tisdale and Deloro Townships, Timmins, Ontario. The property is located 2 kilometers southeast of the city of Timmins.
The Buffalo Ankerite Property consists of 35 claims having an area of 1,063 acres in Deloro Township, Ontario. VG Gold began an aggressive drilling program in 2007 in the South Mine area of the Buffalo Ankerite Property that is continuing through 2008.
The Davidson Tisdale Property consists of six claims having an area of approximately 360 acres in the Tisdale Township, plus a 50% back-in right on 19 adjacent claims having an area of approximately 760 acres. The property is located five kilometers northeast of the city of Timmins. VG Gold has acquired a 71% interest in the property as of May 2008 and has the option to earn up to a 75% interest by making exploration and development work expenditures.
