Rakuten TV is making a major movie play in Europe, and will invest millions of Euros into production this year and next. The streamer is on a mission to crunch release windows and the first project it has invested in is “Hurricane.” The World War II action thriller has “Game of Thrones” star Iwan Rheon, and Milo Gibson, who starred in “Hacksaw Ridge.” It will launch on Rakuten TV and in movie theaters in the U.K. on the same date in September.

Rakuten TV, which launched as Wuaki.tv and rebranded after being acquired by Japanese e-commerce giant Rakuten, has partnered with Kaleidoscope Entertainment on “Hurricane.” The streaming and download service will also release a yet-to-be-announced Spanish movie this year, and is working up a slate of up to five films from different European territories for 2019.

Vacation STAY offers a Rental Inventory Management System for hosts running vacation rentals or shared accommodation. The system reduces the burden on hosts by making it possible for them to manage all aspects of operations, from reservations and rental inventory to sales and payments, through a single account. Facilities registered on the system can be listed on other accommodation reservation sites that Rakuten LIFULL STAY has formed partnerships with. Initially, hosts are able to list their properties on Booking.com, and there are plans to expand this to include Rakuten Travel, HomeAway, Tujia, AsiaYo.com and Yanolja in the future. In addition, by using the system in conjunction with LIFULL HOME'S Monthly, a monthly rental apartment site provided by Rakuten LIFULL STAY, hosts can also operate their facilities as short-term leased properties, such as monthly rental apartments.

Rakuten ist in Japan sehr erfolgreich darüber brauchen wir nicht diskutieren.
Doch das Fuß zu fassen im westlichen Markt scheint etwas schwierig zu sein. Was aktuell auf Kosten von Marketing geht. Ich gehe aber dennoch davon aus dass man mittelfristig die Marketing Kosten wieder senken kann und man sich nachhaltig auch im europäischen Raum etablieren kann.

@Azag-Thoth War direkt ungewöhnt der kleine Kurssprung bei Rakuten. Aber es zeigt wie es ablaufen wird. Es geht tiefer und tiefer und von einem Moment auf den anderen kommt ein scheinbar grundloser Kurssprung. Mal sehen was bei den Quartalszahlen passiert.

Eingekauft hat mam Ebates vor vier Jahren für eine Milliarde Dollar - das ist aus meiner Sicht ein gutes Geschäft und zeigt auch, dass Rakuten im Ausland durchaus Erfolge hatte.

Positiv ist dass er 2014 nicht dreifach so hoch war wie heute sondern nur rund doppelt so hoch.

im Februar 2014 waren 1690 YEN und Schlusskurs heute 720 YEN

Da helfen auch keine registrierten Userzahlen die sich verdreifacht haben. Auch Ariva steigert permanent seine Userzahlen nur aktiv sind trotzdem nur ein geringer Prozentsatz.
