Assuming average winter weather continues, revenue for the first half of 2018 is expected to increase when compared to prior-year results, which were negatively impacted by lower winter weather demand for deicing products. A combination of high cost carry-over inventory and increased shipping and handling costs are expected to pressure Salt segment operating margins for the first half of 2018.“
