Leider habe ich tatsächlich auf zwei Gesetzesinitiativen verlinkt, die uns nicht weiter helfen. Sorry, wollte keine Verwirrung stiften oder unangemessene Euphorie erzeugen.
Am letzten Freitag hat Senator Payne scheinbar noch eine Gesetzesinitiative auf den Weg gebracht, mit folgendem Titel:
"To amend title XVIII of the Social Security Act to provide coverage under the Medicare program for FDA-approved qualifying colorectal cancer screening blood-based tests, and for other purposes."
Klingt auch so, als sollte das Epis proColon Test unterstützen. Es stellt sich allerdings die Frage, warum eine weitere Initiative aufgesetzt wird. Ich hoffe es ist nicht reiner Aktionismus.

Änderung:(D) Qualifying colorectal cancer screening blood-based test.”; and
(2) by adding at the end the following new paragraph:
“(3) The term ‘qualifying colorectal cancer screening blood-based test’ means, with respect to a year, a screening blood-based test for the early detection of colorectal cancer furnished in the year that was marketed or used, as applicable, in accordance with the relevant provisions of section 353 of the Public Health Service Act or the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act more than 6 months before the beginning of the year.”.
(4) by adding at the end the following new paragraph:
“(4) QUALIFYING COLORECTAL CANCER SCREENING BLOOD-BASED TESTS.—
“(A) PAYMENT AMOUNT.—The payment amount for colorectal cancer screening tests consisting of qualifying colorectal cancer screening blood-based tests shall be established by the Secretary based on a crosswalk to payment amounts for tests for the diagnosis of inherited colorectal cancer by methylation methods.
(c) Effective date.—The amendments made by this section shall apply to colorectal cancer screening tests furnished in a year beginning more than 6 months after the date of the enactment of this Act.
alt:(pp) Colorectal cancer screening tests
(1) The term "colorectal cancer screening test" means any of the following procedures furnished to an individual for the purpose of early detection of colorectal cancer:
(A) Screening fecal-occult blood test.
(B) Screening flexible sigmoidoscopy.
(C) Screening colonoscopy.
(D) Such other tests or procedures, and modifications to tests and procedures under this subsection, with such frequency and payment limits, as the Secretary determines appropriate, in consultation with appropriate organizations.
"Es wurden Dinge gesagt die so nicht gesagt werden dürfen, auch wenn das uns jetzt ein paar zusätzliche Informationen geliefert hat. Aber viel weiter kommen wir damit auch nicht, höchstens die Hoffnung ist ein bisschen angehoben worden."
Also entschuldige mal bitte, wieso hätte man das in der Pressemitteilung nicht mitteilen dürfen, dass es da aller 2 Monate ein Update gibt und man weiter dran bleibt?! Damit hätte man das Kursmassaker eventuell verhindern können. Manche Aktionäre haben - aufgrund fehlender "Hoffnungen" - vielleicht zum Tiefpunkt geschmissen!
Die offizielle Kommunikation mit den Eigentümern/Aktionären ist einfach nur beschämend!
