BioNTech SE (NASDAQ:BNTX) shares hit a new 52-week high during mid-day trading on Wednesday after SVB Leerink raised their price target on the stock from $110.00 to $118.00. SVB Leerink currently has a market perform rating on the stock. BioNTech traded as high as $132.40 and last traded at $131.04, with a volume of 14375 shares changing hands. The stock had previously closed at $129.64.

A number of other research analysts also recently commented on the stock. Canaccord Genuity increased their target price on shares of BioNTech from $115.00 to $130.00 and gave the company a “buy” rating in a research report on Monday, December 14th. Zacks Investment Research upgraded shares of BioNTech from a “sell” rating to a “hold” rating in a research note on Tuesday, March 30th. Berenberg Bank set a $130.00 target price on shares of BioNTech and gave the company a “buy” rating in a report on Tuesday, April 6th. Finally, JPMorgan Chase & Co. set a $104.00 target price on BioNTech and gave the company a “neutral” rating in a research note on Tuesday, April 6th. Five research analysts have rated the stock with a hold rating and three have issued a buy rating to the company’s stock. The stock has a consensus rating of “Hold” and an average price target of $102.89.

Japan's Suga to negotiate for more Pfizer doses - report

Japan's Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga is expected to talk directly to the executives of the United States pharmaceutical company Pfizer in order to purchase additional COVID-19 vaccine doses, Nikkei reported on Friday, citing several sources.

Japan currently has purchasing contracts with Pfizer, AstraZeneca, and Moderna. However, only Pfizer jabs have government approval for use, with the approval for Moderna and AstraZeneca still pending. Tokyo expects to receive up to 100 million Pfizer doses by June, enough to cover the double inoculation of the country's elderly citizens.

Suga is expected to talk about the additional Pfizer doses with the company executives via telephone on Saturday, during his visit to the US for a bilateral meeting with President Joe Biden, the outlet noted.

Wer mag, kann sich ab Juni als Tourist in Alaska ganz offiziell impfen lassen, unabhängig vom Alter. Vorteil: Hier werden nur mRNA Impfstoffe eingesetzt, zumindest derzeit.

"Alaska will mit Coronavirus-Impfungen Touristen anlocken. Ab 1. Juni sollen sie an den Flughäfen in Anchorage, Fairbanks, Juneau und Ketchikan die Spritze bekommen können. Das Angebot sei "wahrscheinlich ein weiterer guter Grund, um im Sommer in den Staat Alaska zu kommen", sagte Gouverneur Mike Dunleavy.
Beschränkungen für Kreuzfahrtschiffe wegen der Pandemie haben Unternehmen in Alaska schwer getroffen. Dunleavy sagte, Alaska ziehe es noch in Erwägung, wie Florida die US-Regierung wegen der Einschränkungen zu verklagen. Florida hatte zeitweise Impfungen für Reiche aus anderen Teilen der USA und dem Ausland angeboten."
