Okta's top-line growth depends on customer acquisition. This company increased its customer base to 7,950 by the end of the last quarter. It added 550 new customers and now has 1,450 clients that spend over $100,000 annually on subscriptions.

In the last fiscal year, Okta managed to grow sales by 47% to $586 million. Its dollar-based net retention rate, which helps measure how much customers are spending, stands at a healthy 119%. Okta generates just 16% from total sales from international markets. This provides the company with an opportunity to gain traction in overseas markets as 69% of Fortune's Global 2000 companies are located internationally and they will continue to spend on cybersecurity products.

Okta (NASDAQ:OKTA) stock gained 73.6% in the first half of 2020, according to data from S&P Global Market Intelligence.
This month, shares of the cloud-based identity-management specialist have jumped nearly 10% through July 8, while the broader market has returned just over 2%. In 2020, shares of Okta, which held its initial public offering (IPO) in April 2017, are up 91%. That makes the stock one of the year's top-performing large-cap tech stocks.

We can attribute the stock's powerful performance this year to the company continuing its streak of posting strong financial results. It breezed by the Wall Street consensus earnings estimate in both the fourth quarter of fiscal 2020 and the first quarter of fiscal 2021.
On May 28, Okta released its fiscal Q1 results for the period ended April 30. Results got a boost from the COVID-19 pandemic, which drove a massive increase in the number of people working from home.
.... Adjusted for one-time items, net loss narrowed considerably to $8.1 million, or $0.07 per share, from $21.4 million, or $0.19 per share, in the year-ago quarter. That result crushed the adjusted loss per share of $0.17 that analysts had been expecting.

While Okta is reporting bottom-line losses, investors should know that it generates positive cash flows. In Q1, it generated $38.7 million in cash from operations, up 82% year over year. And it produced free cash flow of $29.8 million, up a whopping 126% from the year-ago period. ..."

The street expects revenue for the quarter ending January 2021 to be $221.8 million, indicating a 32.5% growth year-over-year. OKTA also expects revenue for the fourth quarter to be in the range of $221 million to $222 million.On a year-to-date-basis, OKTA surged 118.7% to end Friday’s trading session at $252.35, quite close to its 52-week high at $252.99. Over the past six months, the stock has climbed 41.1%.

Die Einzelwerte im Cybersecurity Bereich sind mir mittlerweile zu heiß. Aber habe gerade einen ganz frischen ETF entdeckt, der sämtliche Perlen beinhaltet: Okta, CLOUDFLARE, Zscaler, Crowdstrike, Cisco etc etc. Da bin ich dabei:)

waren super, die Verringerung der EPS Prognose liegt ja hauptsächlich an der Übernahme von Auth0 und der Prognoseerhöhung der Sales, werde Cathie Woods folgen und nochmal aufstocken, hoffe noch auf den alltäglichen Morgendipp bei Öffnung in Übersee.

ist der absolute Wachstumsmarkt. Okta ist weltweit aufgestellt und hat die letzten Quartale seine Umsatzziele bei weitem übertroffen und nun für 2022/2023 wieder nach oben korrigiert. Seit einigen Jahren gibt es auch in München einen Standort.

Minus 30 % obwohl Zahlen besser als Erwartung und Ausblich wie erwartet. Verrückte Börse
Habe mir mal 100 gegönnt zu 67,5

Zahlen waren besser als erwartet, Ausblick wurde jedoch trotz dieser Zahlen nicht erhöht.
Folgender Punkt finde ich kritisch:

"Führungskräfte haben zudem bekannt gaben, dass das Softwareunternehmen mit Problemen bei der Integration der 6,5 Mrd. US-Dollar schweren Übernahme von Auth0 und mit Mitarbeiterfluktuation zu kämpfen hat."

Scheint kein schlechtes Unternehmen zu sein, wenn sich Kicky damit beschäftigt. Doch aktuell muss man mit Käufen vorsichtig sein. Es gibt nur sehr wenige Unternehmen, die diesem Umfeld gewachsen sind.
Diese Aktie jedenfalls muss noch etwas ausatmen........bei 50 bis 55 $  kann die erste Tranche platziert werden. Aktuell nur Watch!

Steht bei mir auch auf der Watchlist. Absturz so für mich nicht nachvollziehbar. Aber, Börse übertreibt immer nach oben und nach unten!

Die Quartalszahlen waren wirklich gut und die Aktie hat gestern auf Tageshoch geschlossen.

für den Absturz Freitag und heute?

Wäre ich Kunde dort müsste ich die Verbindung überdenken.
So kann ich getrost auf diese Firma sowie cloudflare etc. verzichten.
Würde mich nicht wundern wenn der Kurs massiv unter die Räder kommt.

Einer der betroffenen Kunden ist möglicherweise Cloudflare.
Dem ist nichts hinzuzufügen, meine Meinung.

aber sie geben nur zu was sowieso schon bekannt ist.
So wird das letzte vertrauen leichtfertig verspielt, meine Meinung  

Verlust nur noch ein Viertel, der Kurs springt um 25% aber Verlust bleibt Verlust.
Da investiert man doch lieber in Unternehmen die Gewinne produzieren und im Kurs sehr niedrig stehen weil es den globalen Playern so gefällt, denn irgendwann platzt der Deckel wie jetzt bei SMA oder Hormel, meine Meinung.
