PhaZZer Electronics, Inc. filed for an ex parte reexamination of Taser International, Inc. (TASR) patent 7,234,262 with the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

KISSIMMEE, Fla., Dec. 9, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- In response to Taser International, Inc.'s (NASDAQ: TASR) filed patent claim in United States District Court, Central District of Florida against PhaZZer Electronics, Inc. for its U.S. Pat. No. 7,234,262 patent, PhaZZer Electronics, Inc. filed for an ex parte reexamination with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). In an action dated November 8, 2016, the USPTO rejected ALL 18 patent claims of Taser International, Inc.'s 7,234,262 patent.

The USPTO conducted a comprehensive review based on PhaZZer Electronics, Inc.'s submission and found ALL Claims 1-3, 5-7, 9-11, 13-15, 17 and 18 and Claims 4, 8, 12, and 16 to be unpatentable in light of two or three prior United States Patents, respectively.
