Reference is made to the announcement by PetroMENA ASA dated June 13 2008 regarding the completion of a private placement of 13,430,000 new shares. PetroMENA ASA has on 16 June 2008 received an updated certificate of registration reflecting the 13 June 2008 private placement. The number of shares in PetroMENA ASA has increased from 134,343,500 to 147,773,500, each with a par value of NOK 15.0, and the share capital has increased from NOK 2,015,152,500 to NOK 2,216,602,500.
