Unitor improves global supply chain capabilities with extended use of
IFS Applications

Unitor ASA, a leading supplier and service provider to the
international merchant fleet and shipbuilding industry, continues to
gain benefits from the partnership with IFS, and will now implement
IFS Applications 2003 at more than 250 sites worldwide. One of the
major benefits for Unitor will be reduced cost of ownership for their
total IT infrastructure by reducing the number of system and
integrations. The agreement is valued at more than USD 1 million.

Unitor has been utilizing IFS Applications since 1998 to continuously
improve and manage the business processes of their global operations.
Last year Unitor made approximately 200,000 deliveries in more than
1,500 ports and 145 shipyards worldwide. Their products are
distributed through a network comprising 65 offices and 130 agents in
85 countries. Some of the benefits Unitor has already achieved are
significant cost reductions and greater control of its supply chain.
Continuing to gain benefits from their partnership with IFS, Unitor
will be utilizing some of the new functionality in IFS Applications
2003 to further streamline their business processes.

"IFS Applications supports Unitor's demands for solutions handling
complex supply chains globally, with operations on a 24 x 7 x 365
basis. Since the first implementation of IFS Applications, we have
improved our processes substantially, mainly within the areas of
customer service level, product availability and data quality," said
Jarle Roth, president of Unitor ASA. "Now it is time to take the next
step to get even better payback on our investments, and use this
platform to improve the monitoring of our operations. It's like
maneuvering a ship. If you don't have a good and reliable steering
mechanism, it is impossible to make a safe journey," added Jarle
Roth.

"This further confirms IFS' capabilities as a global partner for a
widely distributed company like Unitor, the value of successful
collaboration and the quality of the functionality in IFS
Applications. We look forward to further developing our partnership
with Unitor," concluded Kjell Arne Andersen, president of IFS Norway.
