Cousins Properties Announces Public Offering of 63,571,336 Shares of Common Stock

ATLANTA, Feb. 21, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Cousins Properties Incorporated (the "Company") (NYSE: CUZ) today announced that it and certain existing shareholders affiliated with TPG Global, LLC ("TPG") have  commenced an underwritten public offering of 63,571,336 shares of its common stock.  25,000,000 shares are being offered by the Company, and an aggregate of 38,571,336 shares are being offered by TPG.

The Company intends to use the net proceeds of the offering for repayment of debt and general corporate purposes, including the acquisition and development of office properties and other opportunistic investments.  The Company will not receive any proceeds from the sale of shares by TPG.

Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC will serve as the sole book-running manager for the offering.
