Heinz-Jürgen Bertram  has been appointed to the position of Chief
Executive Officer of the flavours and fragrances manufacturer Symrise
AG effective July 1st, 2009. The appointment was approved by the
company's Supervisory Board today in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.
Heinz-Jürgen Bertram succeeds Gerold Linzbach, who, for personal
reasons, has not asked for his contract to be renewed when it expires
on 22nd October 2009. Gerold Linzbach is leaving Symrise by mutual
consent.
