"Geely-owned Volvo Car Group is expecting a significant jump in Chinese sales this year on the back of its strong momentum gained in 2017.Volvo announced on Thursday that a total of 571,577 vehicles were delivered last year, a 7 percent rise on 2016. However, in the Chinese market, sales rose 25.8 percent to 114,410 units.
"The Chinese market has made significant contribution to the group. Last year, about 20 percent of the company's overall volume came from China," said Hakan Samuelsson, president and CEO of Volvo Car Group, in a telephone interview....."
